YWITT PRE-APPRENTICESHIP SUBSIDY PROGRAM

LEVEL UP

Have you been wanting to explore a career in the trades but cost for training has been a barrier?

At YWITT, we are committed to decreasing barriers, increasing access to skilled trades careers, and creating opportunities for mentorship.

We have heard from our community that one of the barriers to entry in the trades is the cost of tuition, and lost income while pursuing training. To address this barrier, YWITT will support up to 5 women and gender diverse folks who have been accepted into one of the YukonU pre-apprenticeship programs below. Successful applicants' tuition and fees will be paid directly to Yukon University. Housing support may be available.

Participants will be paid a training wage for the duration of their course, reflecting the hours they are present in class.

On October 1st, Yukon University’s intake starts for 2027 programming, and seats fill up fast.
